WHEN DOES YOUR COPIER LEASE EXPIRE?

WHEN DOES YOUR COPIER LEASE EXPIRE?

Have you checked when your copier lease expires? If this is the case, you are not alone. Most copier firms will inform you, but what if they don’t? This is where things might become strange for you as a business.

You’ve come to the right place if you want to figure out when your copier lease expires. First, we’ll go over how to tell when your lease is up for renewal and what to do if you’re getting close.

KNOW WHEN YOUR LEASE ENDS

If you don’t want to do that but still want to know when it ends, you can look at the copy of your lease that you most likely have on file. The date, as well as the number of months, will be signed. The lease will not finish 60 months after that day (if it is a 60-month lease) but rather one month later. This is because it takes time to deliver and install the copier, which takes around a month from start to finish… therefore your leasing initiation is delayed by a month. Because it begins once you sign a delivery and acceptance form, this is the case.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A DELIVERY AND ACCEPTANCE DOCUMENT (D&A)?

On a copier lease, the leasing firm uses a Delivery and Acceptance, or D&A document to prove you received the copier you believed you were leasing. The leasing firm requires you to sign this since you are the only one who can verify that you received the copier and that it is in good working order.

Keep in mind that the copier firm will not be paid until the document is signed. So don’t sign this paper if your installation was not completed or if you did not receive what you were promised! This is the most powerful tool you have to ensure you obtain the copier you need.

The D&A is the document that confirms to the leasing company that the copier you received is the copier you signed for on the lease and that you are satisfied with what you received.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR LEASE ENDS
